Discover the mindful way to peak performance

As the pace of life increases, the ability to be present continues to be more challenging for us all. In our efforts to keep up with all of the doing in the world, we fail to simply be, and, as a result, we not only undermine our performance, but we also miss out on each individual moment that ultimately makes up our entire life.  Alex Peavey works with individuals, groups, and teams on mindfulness strategies for dropping into this moment, which is the only moment we have to perform, to achieve, and to live.

Serving the Richmond, Virginia area and beyond

What is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is best defined by Jon Kabat-Zinn as "paying attention in a particular way, on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally."  Through the practice of mindfulness, our awareness is brought back to exactly what is happening in this moment, which allows us to more successfully navigate the ebbs and flows of life, cultivate a healthy mind and body, experience emotions more fully without being overcome by them, and to put ourselves in a position to achieve peak performance in whatever realm that performance may be in. The Mindful Way is a non-therapeutic approach to developing these skills through one-on-one sessions, or larger group presentations.

The Mindful Way does not replace necessary medical treatment for physical ailments or injuries, and it does not replace professional help related to mental health.

One-on-one sessions are 50 minutes in length.

Group/team presentations vary in length depending on the format chosen for the presentation.

Since 2004, Alex has been teaching mindfulness to others so they might also experience the life changing benefits of this practice.
